About the World Equestrian Games (WEG)
The first World Equestrian Games (WEG) was held in 1990 and is held every four years in the middle of the Olympic cycle. The WEG is one of the biggest events on the global sporting calendar and combines eight equestrian disciplines into a massive championship series over the course of a 13 day event. The World Games are administered by the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI) who is the worldwide governing body of the equestrian sport. The 8 FEI disciplines will each compete for the World Championship title during the competition. This year the World Games will take place at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, NC from Sept 11-23rd.
